Lilac, Purple Persian

Persian lilacs will immediately add a new attraction to your garden. In April/May this shrub blooms with a profusion of purple floral bouquets. Persian lilacs are smaller than common lilacs. The single flowers are pale in color and richly fragrant. The 3-inch-long flower clusters are smaller by about half compared to those of common lilacs. The plants make attractive hedges, specimens or foundation plants, and the mid-season blooms attract bees, butterflies and nectar-seeking birds.
